New York Yankees star Alex Rodriguez’s girlfriend, Jaclyn Cordeiro, attended the star-studded premiere of HBO’s Alex vs. A‑Rod on Thursday at 9:00 p.m. ET. The premiere event took place in New York City at the DGA Theater.
At the premiere, Cordeiro turned heads with her stunning black dress. She wore a long-sleeved black velvet dress featuring a deep V-neckline. She paired the dress with black open-toed high-heeled sandals with thin straps. She also carried a small black clutch bag, a thin gold necklace with a small pendant, and a gold watch.
The Yankees icon’s premiere was attended by his daughters Natasha & Ella, his ex-wife Cynthia Scurtis, Tom Brady and prominent baseball figures like Derek Jeter and Ken Griffey Jr., plus managers and teammates.
Alex Rodriguez’s Vision & What the Series Explores
Alex Rodriguez’s Alex vs. A‑Rod, directed by Gotham Chopra and Erik LeDrew, is a three-part documentary series on HBO/HBO Max, exploring his rise as a baseball prodigy to superstar A-Rod while also giving an insight into the controversies, like getting suspended for the whole season.
According to Hollywood Outbreak, the docuseries includes interviews with Hall of Famers Derek Jeter and Ken Griffey Jr., former MLB manager Lou Piniella, family members and broadcasters Katie Couric, Mike Francesa, and Michael Kay.
Alex Rodrigue’s show will start with his early rise learning baseball, including getting drafted first overall in 1993 and signing a then-record-breaking contract with the Texas Rangers. The series will also give an insight into the circumstances surrounding his trade to the Yankees.
The show will also cover his 2009 World Series title, coming on the backdrop of PED allegations. He suffered the longest suspension in MLB history leveled in 2023. A-Rod will be seen rebuilding his image and gaining the trust of baseball fans.
“A part of me died when I got suspended, and it cost me the Hall of Fame, which kind of really sucks. But I have no one to blame but myself,” he said. “But in many ways, it saved my life because I was able to work on the tools, rewire the brain, and make me, I believe, a better person to be, a better father, a better friend, a better owner.”
It remains to be seen how the viewers react to the docuseries.
