“Say It Right to St. Peter’s Face” – Analyst Explodes Over Coach Prime’s Son Shedeur Sanders’ Sabotage Rumors

Former Colorado Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders is in the midst of his first NFL training camp. He was a fifth-round pick of the Cleveland Browns in the 2025 NFL draft after going on a historic draft slide. He is now in a difficult situation in Cleveland as he competes for playing time against three other QBs: Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett and Dillon Gabriel.

For most of camp, Sanders was the only quarterback who had not received first-team snaps during practice, leading to conspiracy theories and speculation from the fan base about the team’s intentions. Analyst Ken Carman went on a rant on Thursday morning on “The Ken Carman Show with Anthony Lima,” disputing the theory that the Browns are trying to run Sanders out of town.

“They are doing everything they can for a guy like the name of Sanders, a star of his caliber,” Ken Carman said. “They’re doing everything they can to provide the fairest shot possible for him. I will take it to my grave and say it right to St. Peter’s face. They are doing nothing to try to break a quarterback. They’re doing nothing to try to break Shedeur Sanders. Especially Shedeur Sanders. For anybody out there who is not a real Browns fan who might be listening to this, I am telling you right now, they are not doing anything to try to sabotage Shedeur Sanders.”

Carman then continued his rant, asking several questions sarcastically, disputing the implication that the Browns are trying to run Sanders out of town.

“How many jerseys did he already sell? How many autographs has he already signed in Greater Cleveland? How many events has he already had in Greater Cleveland?… They’re trying to break Shedeur Sanders after the cloud this franchise has been under over the last three seasons. They don’t want that guy to be a franchise quarterback for them. The team that’s more obsessed with finding a franchise quarterback than any team out there. They don’t want Shedeur Sanders to play for them?”

Shedeur Sanders Finally Gets Reps Against the First-Team Defense at Training Camp

Wednesday was the seventh day of training camp for the Cleveland Browns, and it was a big one for Shedeur Sanders. He finally got the opportunity to take reps against the first-team defense.

Sanders has progressively improved throughout the first week of training camp and has shown that he can handle head coach Kevin Stefanski’s play-action offense. While his chances of being the starter on the first day of the season are still low, Sanders has shown that he can compete with the other Browns quarterbacks, at least in the early days of training camp.
