CFP Final Four 2026: Who Has the Edge Heading Into the National Title Race?

The CFP Final Four has been decided, and it will be No. 5 Oregon taking on No. 1 Indiana and No. 6 Ole Miss taking on the biggest surprise of the tournament, No. 10 Miami. All four teams have been impressive and have certainly proven that they deserve to be in this spot, but who among them has the edge?

Each team is coming into the CFP Final Four with something to prove, but does this have something that would give each of these teams a better shot at the national title?

Which Teams Have the Better Chance to Win a National Title For the CFP Final Four 2026

    4 – Miami Hurricanes

The Canes are definitely the X factor here, and they are coming in as the lowest-ranked team in the CFP Final Four. They got here thanks to one upset after another, with their biggest win being against No. 2 Ohio State, but will their momentum be enough to derail the also-surging Ole Miss in the semis?

While Miami does have the momentum, it is still very much possible that the clock will finally strike midnight and stop their Cinderella run. Whether that happens in the semis or the final, that remains to be seen.

    3 – Oregon Ducks

Oregon dominated the James Madison Dukes before shutting out No. 4 Texas Tech in one of the most dominant CFP games in the modern era. Like Miami, they also have plenty of momentum, and out of all the programs in the CFP Final Four, they have to be the hungriest of them all, because despite the Ducks churning out one great player after another in the NFL, they have never won a national title.

    2 – Ole Miss Rebels

The Rebels are acting like the ex that is trying to prove that they can live without their former lover, and they have been proving it so far with that thrilling win over Georgia. They will be taking on Miami next, and while the Canes look unstoppable, one does not simply underestimate an angry ex that wants to tell the world that they do not need Lane Kiffin to win a Natty.

    1 – Indiana Hoosiers

The Hoosiers are entering the CFP Final Four as the only undefeated team right now, and they also have the reigning Heisman winner in Fernando Mendoza. They have the momentum, and they certainly have the team that can win it all, so Indiana has the biggest edge right now.
