Cam Coleman Transfer Portal: Top 5 Landing Spots For Auburn WR Ft. Georgia Bulldogs

Cam Coleman turned heads on Monday when news broke that the Auburn wide receiver would be entering the transfer portal, leaving behind the Auburn Tigers for greener pastures.

Coleman’s announcement on Monday (confirmed by ESPN via Pete Thamel on X) was a surprise to some, as the receiver earned more yards in his sophomore season than in his freshman season and also saw his number of receptions increase year over year.

Of course, with his yards per reception taking a step back from 16.2 to 12.6 between 2024 and 2025, and his number of receiving touchdowns also falling from eight to five, a move could be rationalized. His total number of receiving yards has also stayed below the 1,000 mark in each of his first two years. Still, an explosion could be on the way for the franchise lucky enough to get him. Here’s a look at five potential landing spots.

Cam Coleman Landing Spots That Make Sense For Auburn Tigers WR

    #5 – Tulane Green Wave

The Green Wave checks a lot of boxes for Cam Coleman. A team that reached the college football playoff in 2025, the team has left room for improvement in its passing offense. One antidote for this is to boost the receiver room, which could get Coleman in position to compete for the top receiver slot on the team.

    #4 – Texas A&M Aggies

Texas A&M gave the NFL Mike Evans and Christian Kirk. If Cam Coleman wants to take a chance at being the next iteration of those two players, the Texas A&M Aggies are the team for him. The Aggies put up just three points in a losing playoff performance, which has made it clear that the team needs more offensive firepower. Coleman could be the solution.

    #3 – Indiana Hoosiers

The Indiana Hoosiers are the favorites to win it all in the college football playoff. However, the team is not perfect. If Cam Coleman isn’t worried about chasing statistics and wants to hoist a college football playoff championship, the Hoosiers would be a potential destination. If he is willing to play for additional years, it could also be a path to getting him on the field early and often in the latter years of his college career.

    #2 – Georgia Bulldogs

The Georgia Bulldogs have plenty of room for improvement in the team’s passing offense. Cam Coleman would fit the bill. Plus, as a team that is in the middle of its fourth playoff run since 2017, chasing its fourth championship appearance in as many years, Coleman could get plenty of attention if he can help make a run with the team under Kirby Smart.

    #1 – Alabama Crimson Tide

The Alabama Crimson Tide is located within a day’s drive of Auburn, which would keep Cam Coleman in the general area, if that is a central goal of his search. Alabama still carries lots of respect in the national landscape, and playing for a prestigious program that gave the NFL DeVonta Smith, Amari Cooper, and Julio Jones. If he wants a chance to elevate into that company in his own backyard, joining the Crimson Tide makes the most sense.
