Bryce Underwood’s Act of Kindness Goes Viral

Underwood documented going back to his alma mater, Belleville High School, where he gifted a car to security guard Mych Darty. In the video posted on X (with the caption “Know your roots and who you’re rooting for”), the Wolverines QB shared heartfelt words about Darty.

“The difference he made for the athletes here—honestly, whenever we needed somebody to lean on, he was there. He was there whenever we needed to get out of class for a mental break or anything like that,” Underwood said.

“The genuineness of Mych—he really cares, and you can tell. He shows up for anybody and everybody, no matter what they did, no matter who they are.”

Underwood’s gesture struck a chord with fans, who flooded his comment section with gratitude and admiration.

One wrote, “This is incredible, Bryce. You’re going to go far, kid.”

Another said, “Bryce, you’ve got a fan for life—no matter what the future holds at Michigan. It’s truly inspiring to see someone your age with such a great perspective on life. I wish you and your loved ones nothing but success and happiness. Go Blue!”

Yet another humorously commented, “I am an LSU alumnus (’79). I will always be a fan of you, sir. I hated to see you decommit, but I think this shows what an incredible young man you are. I wish you the best and hope that your only losses will come against LSU. I look forward to seeing you in college & the NFL.”

Underwood is expected to take over the starting QB role for Michigan in the 2025 season. As the No. 1 overall prospect in the 2025 recruiting class, expectations are high.
