The Cleveland Browns are spoiled for choice this season for the quarterback position. Joe Flacco, Dillon Gabriel, Kenny Pickett, and Shedeur Sanders are gunning for their spot. While it has been a big storyline for the Browns, nothing has made more noise than Sanders, the 5th round, 144th draft pick.
Despite being overlooked and seeing a drastic decline in his draft predictions, Sanders has continued to put in the work. Even though he’s not getting a lot of first-team reps, the 23-year-old is simply paying his dues before he gets the deserved recognition.
During a recent Browns practice, Sanders shared a light moment of banter with their defensive end, Myles Garrett.
“I just wanna get some reps…right now,” Sanders said to Garrett.
$60M worth Garrett (as per Celebrity Net Worth) was ready to go and immediately asked:
“When? Where? What you want? You want me to be a tight end or what? I know you don’t want me rushing.”

The 2023 Defensive Player of the Year is impressed by the new batch of QBs who have entered the organization. He praised their dedication to the game during an interview at the training camp.
“I’ve really seen that they help each other and they work together,” Garrett said. “They guys, they are not afraid to make a mistake, go out there and try to play. Also, they’re helping each other up…The young guys talking to Joe [Flacco] or Joe talking to the young guys.”
Garrett said that Flacco, as a veteran on the team, is helping the young guys become better quarterbacks, and it has been a good experience so far.

Joe Flacco praises new Browns QBs
Joe Flacco is enjoying his time as a veteran QB with the new group. For him, their curiosity brings back good memories of his own beginning.
Since Flacco has been in their shoes, he understands what it means when the new QBs ask a certain kind of question. In the aforementioned interview, he said:
“It’s been a lot of fun. Those guys are good. They’ve got a good head on their shoulders. I feel like in the quarterback room, you always find a way to keep it light while you’re learning. There’s stories going around and there’s football, it’s been a lot of fun.”
The NFL pre-season is set to start on July 31. The Browns will play their first game against the Carolina Panthers on Aug. 8. Their season will officially begin on Sept. 7 with a home game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
