The Auburn Tigers are trying to build themselves into contenders in the SEC, and they have started to make some key moves in the transfer portal.
However, while they acquired a talented defensive back from Tulane, they lost a veteran offensive lineman.

Auburn Bolsters Secondary With Tulane DB as Jaden Muskrat Exits Offensive Line
Starting with the defensive back from Tulane, that defensive back is none other than cornerback Rayshawn Pleasant.
The 6-foot-0 Pleasant was one of the top cornerbacks in the transfer portal and made the choice to take his talents to arguably the best conference in the country.
Last season for the Green Wave, he recorded 35 total tackles, three pass deflections, and a 100-yard pick-six.
After getting Pleasant, the Tigers were unable to keep junior offensive lineman Jaden Muskrat. According to insiders Chris Hummer and Matt Zenitz, Muskrat was the team’s backup left tackle last season after playing for Tulsa.

Anytime you lose an upperclassman who provides depth and versatility along the trenches, that can hurt in a big way.
The Tigers are going to have to replace him in some capacity if they want to make sure their offensive line is at its best.
The Auburn Tigers’ 2025 Outlook
In a conference with the likes of the Georgia Bulldogs, Texas Longhorns, Ole Miss Rebels, Tennessee Volunteers, and Alabama Crimson Tide, it is going to be a tough climb for head coach Hugh Freeze and Co.
But Freeze has to find a way to start stacking wins. In his return to the SEC, Freeze has posted back-to-back losing seasons.
On the team’s schedule for 2025 sits teams such as the Georgia Bulldogs, Missouri Tigers, and the Alabama Crimson Tide. In all likelihood, those could be their three toughest games.

A winning record needs to be obtained by Freeze and Co. if they want to keep the heat off of themselves. In sports, you have to prove that you are progressing as a player, as a coach, and as a team.
The minute that Freeze and his team stop progressing, his coaching seat could start to become a little warmer than he would like.
