Ashton Hall is the latest viral social media sensation thanks to his 4 a.m. morning routine, but it turns out he may have had a future in football.

Ashton Hall Was a CFB Running Back
If you have been on social media over the past couple of days, you may have seen a viral 4 a.m. morning routine by entrepreneur Ashton Hall. The video documents how he gets his day started, including soaking his face in ice water, going for a morning swim, and wiping banana peel on his face.
Before Hall went into the business of life coaching, he was a college football running back who had dreams of going to the NFL. He now has over 8.8 million Instagram followers, but back in 2014, he was a running back for Alcorn State.

Sport and fitness have always been a big part of his life. Even after dropping out of college, he continued to work on his body and is now an online life coach for men.
After those NFL dreams faded, Hall turned to shifting furniture before working as a personal trainer and growing his brand into what it is today. This may have led to him being roasted by many social media accounts, including big brands and sports teams such as Borussia Dortmund, which also joined in on the joke.
Alcorn State University in Mississippi plays in the Southwestern Athletic Conference, and Hall would spend two years as part of the football program. Unfortunately, he only appeared in five games, rushing six times for just eight total yards.
Alcorn State has 57 alumni who went on to play in the NFL during their careers. Headlining the list is legendary quarterback Steve McNair, who went third overall in the 1995 NFL Draft. Other notable names include wide receiver Donald Driver and cornerback Malcolm Butler, both of which have Super Bowl rings to their name.
Hall’s college career may not have panned out how he imagined, but with over 15 million followers across all social media platforms, he has managed to create a pretty solid backup plan.
