Army Black Knights Depth Chart
The Army Black Knights football team represents the United States Military Academy and competes in the NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS). They are a member of the American Athletic Conference (AAC) as of the 2024 season, following a long stint as independents (2005-23). The Black Knights play their home games at Michie Stadium, located in West Point, New York, a venue often referred to as one of the most picturesque in college football due to its scenic views of the Hudson River.
Army’s rich tradition of excellence includes three claimed national championships in 1944, 1945, and 1946. The team's colors are black, gold, and gray, and the Black Knights are known for their unique game day traditions, such as the "Rocket" cheer led by the Corps of Cadets and the dramatic parachute jump into Michie Stadium carrying the game ball. The fight song, "On Brave Old Army Team," is a staple at games, and the cadets' "Beat Navy" chant underscores the fierce rivalry with the Naval Academy.
