Texas Longhorns quarterback Arch Manning is talented on the football field; but he showed the college football — and basketball — world on Saturday that he’s accurate throwing a T-shirt as well.
2025 Longhorns QB1 Arch Manning Shows Off His Arm During Appearance at Texas Basketball Game
It’s been confirmed that Texas Longhorns quarterback Arch Manning can throw a football extremely well.
On Saturday, during Texas men’s basketball’s 70-69 victory over rival Texas A&M Aggies, we learned he can also launch a T-shirt. Manning launched a T-shirt high into the Longhorn student section, displaying to the world his cannon-of-an-arm.

Manning, expected to be the starting quarterback in 2025 after the departure of Quinn Ewers, has had high expectations after being a five-star recruit in the class of 2023. He’s had to wait his turn behind the accomplished Ewers — but the time has come for Manning to take the reigns.
While Ewers was hurt in late September, Manning started two games for the Longhorns, completing 41 of 60 passes for 583 yards and four touchdowns in dominant wins over the Mississippi State Bulldogs and UL Monroe Warhawks.

Across the 2024 season, Mannings’ legs were featured on certain short yardage plays; in total he carried the ball 25 times for 108 yards and four touchdowns.
Along with his mobility, Manning’s bloodlines seem to have given him excellent arm strength, as evidenced by the T-shirt launch. Manning’s uncles, fellow quarterbacks Peyton and Eli, have each won multiple Super Bowls in the NFL.
Manning’s highly-anticipated debut as the undisputed starting quarterback will come at the Ohio State Buckeyes on August 30.
If he can throw deep passes with the same accuracy and arm strength as he did with a T-shirt on Saturday, the Longhorns will have a great chance of once again appearing in the College Football Playoff in 2025.
