After being swept by Auburn in their previous series, they dropped from the No. 3 seed to No. 9 in the NCAA rankings.

    Alabama ranks No. 15 and is looking to build momentum with the conference tournament around the corner. The Crimson Tide’s last series win came on March 30, when they took two of three from Oklahoma before losing a series to each of Auburn (No. 16) and Mississippi State. Alabama has dropped from the No. 8 seed to the No. 15 seed.

    Jared Jones Headlines LSU Baseball Game Today

    First baseman Jared Jones is the best hitter in LSU’s lineup. He went 3-for-3 with a home run and three RBIs in Tuesday’s 10-3 win against McNeese State. However, in the Tigers’ series at Auburn he went 1-for-13 with six strikeouts.

    In those same four games, Derek Curiel batted 5-for-18, a .278 batting average compared with .362 on the season. He has reached base safely in all 37 games this season, leading the team with a .494 on-base percentage.
