The most exciting part of the year for college basketball, and perhaps even college sports, is almost here, and fans are more ready than ever. The 2025 March Madness tournament is all but here, and the location and details for every round have been announced.
The time is almost here, with the First Four kicking off on Tuesday, March 18. This weekend, the first and second rounds will conclude. By the time next weekend comes, the Sweet 16 will be set. So, where will it be played, and what do you need to know?
Where Is the 2025 Sweet 16 Played?
The Sweet 16 kicks off on Thursday, March 27. At 6:30 p.m., the first set of games will tip off. On CBS and TBS, the first two games will be played simultaneously. Roughly a half hour after the first games end, the second set of games will kick off.
The Sweet 16 will play two games at the home of the New Jersey Devils in Prudential, New Jersey, on Thursday. They will also play two games at the home of the Golden State Warriors, the Chase Center in San Francisco, CA.
The next day, on Friday, March 28, the Sweet 16 will end after four more pivotal games are played, and the Elite Eight will be figured out. The first set of games kicks off at 6:30 p.m. ET, and the second set kicks off roughly a half hour after the first set ends. All games on Friday can be watched on CBS and TBS.
On March 28, the Sweet 16 will play two games at the home of the Atlanta Hawks, the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, GA. They will also play two games at the home of the Indianapolis Colts, the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, IN.
CBS will lead the way with the 2025 March Madness, televising 24 games, including Final Four, Elite Eight, and Sweet 16 games. TBS will televise 18 games, including the Elite Eight and the Sweet 16 games.
