Titans’ Offseason Moves Signal Strong Interest in Cam Ward at No. 1 Overall
The Tennessee Titans have aggressively bolstered their offensive line this offseason, suggesting they may be preparing to draft a quarterback with the No. 1 overall pick. Their latest acquisitions include left tackle Dan Moore Jr. from the Pittsburgh Steelers and veteran right guard Kevin Zeitler, formerly with the Detroit Lions.
Meanwhile, JC Latham, who played left tackle last season, will return to his position at correct tackle. According to James Foster of The 33rd Team, these moves indicate that Tennessee is eyeing Miami’s Cam Ward as their next franchise quarterback.
“By investing in the offensive line and sitting out of the quarterback market, the Titans have made their intentions fairly clear, and it’s starting to look like the draft starts at pick two,” Foster stated.
Ward, an electrifying playmaker, threw for 4,313 yards and 39 touchdowns in 2024 while leading Miami to the Pop-Tarts Bowl. His exceptional arm talent and mobility make him an intriguing prospect.
“He has the drive velocity and flexible release to attack any area of the field from any platform and is an underrated anticipatory thrower from the pocket,” Foster added.
Despite speculation surrounding Tennessee’s quarterback situation, the team has yet to sign a legitimate challenger to Will Levis. Brandon Allen was added to the department but isn’t expected to start.

CBS Sports’ Kyle Stackpole recently suggested that the New York Giants, desperate for a quarterback, could trade up for Ward. However, concerns remain about New York’s offensive weapons, as top wideout Darius Slayton only posted 573 yards and two touchdowns last season despite securing a new contract.
