Best known as a part of UNC’s 2022 NCAA Finals team, 2024 Pac-12 Player of the Year Caleb Love returned to the Arizona Wildcats (22-11, 14-6) after withdrawing from the 2024 NBA Draft.
Now, as his fifth year comes to a close, the 6’4” point guard will have his sights once again set on the NBA Draft. Will NBA teams have their eyes on him? Here’s everything you need to know about Love’s draft stock heading into the 2025 NBA Draft.

Analyzing Caleb Love’s Stock Ahead of the 2025 NBA Draft
Averaging a solid 16.5 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game has cemented Love as a solid starter for the Wildcats this season. However, with a shooting percentage below 40% overall and 33% from beyond the arc, teams will have to take a closer look before drafting the fifth-year senior.
Scouts have called Love an aggressive scorer who plays downhill, but his tendencies to get careless and turn the ball over have been raised as a red flag. While he is able to attack defenses and finish at and above the rim—not afraid to draw contact—Love has a tendency to overdribble and is inconsistent from outside, leading him to draw comparisons to Monta Ellis.
It’s likely the 23-year-old will be waiting around for a call on draft night. Most projections see the Arizona star as a mid to late second-round pick, with some saying he could slip to undrafted status.

With Love not seeing the top 60 for many scouts, it may be a long way up. However, a strong performance in the NCAA tournament could be the difference between not receiving a call at all and jumping up some draft boards and into the end of the second round.
