This competitive spirit took Cam to new heights and helped him in just about every aspect of life, whether on the field or off. In practices and games, Ward keeps his competitive spirit alive and well.
His mom is a special education teacher at a local high school, and his dad is a fuel buyer for a nuclear power plant. His mom also helped to instill a competitive spirit in him, as she was a high school basketball coach for 24 years who taught her players the same thing.
Ward played perhaps his best college year in his final college season this past season. He finished throwing for 4,313 yards, a career-high. He completed 305 passes on 454 attempts. He also threw for 39 touchdowns while only throwing seven picks.
Ward finished with a quarterback rating of 172.2, which was his career high. These stats put him on the map and made him one of the first players to be drafted in the upcoming 2025 NFL Draft, and he did it all with his parents in attendance.
