John Wester Jr., a talented defensive back hailing from Palmetto, Florida, stands 6’2″ and weighs 180 lbs. He has played for Florida Atlantic University and now Fayetteville State University.
LaJohntay recently shared an image of John Jr. in action, praising his brother’s talent. John Jr. responded with equal affection.
In a social media post, LaJohntay praised John as “the biggest in every arena,” showcasing their mutual support despite playing in different football programs. John’s response, “Always lil brudda 💚,” reflects their enduring connection.
LaJohntay Wester’s NFL Combine Performance
During the NFL Scouting Combine, LaJohntay showcased his speed, clocking a 4.7-second 40-yard dash on his first attempt and a 4.8 on his second. The official time was later adjusted to 4.6 seconds, quelling concerns about his long-distance speed.
Known for his quick-twitch agility, Wester’s performance proved he possesses both short-range burst and solid top-end speed.
Tony Cosolo of Buffaloes Wire praised Wester’s performance.
“Wester was near the top of his position groups in the 40-yard dash and 10-yard split, showcasing his quickness and top-end speed. He also ranked in the middle of the pack in the broad and vertical jumps.
“During the combine’s drill portion, Wester showcased exceptional route running skills and caught most of the passes thrown his way, dropping one during the popular gauntlet drill,” Cosolo wrote.

In 2022, he recorded 62 receptions for 719 yards and eight touchdowns, adding 15 carries for 106 rushing yards and another score. His standout 2023 campaign included over 1,200 all-purpose yards and nine total touchdowns.
After transferring to Colorado, Wester delivered 931 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns in his final season. Projected as a mid-to-late-round pick, his positive attitude, versatility, and special teams impact strengthen his draft appeal.
Wester’s refined route-running skills and ability to cover the entire route tree further elevate his value. As Pro Day performances and team workouts approach, Wester’s name remains firmly on NFL scouts’ radars.
