Cameron and Cayden Boozer, both five-star recruits and twin brothers in the class of 2025, have each committed to the Duke Blue Devils as highly-anticipated prospects. They share a last name with former NBA star Carlos Boozer; are they related?

Are the Boozer Twins Related to Carlos Boozer?
The answer is yes — they are Carlos Boozer’s sons.
The twins were born on July 18, 2007, in Salt Lake City, UT, with Carlos and his then wife Cece being the parents. Cameron came out first, with Cayden following soon after.
Their father played in the NBA for 13 seasons, spending time with the Cleveland Cavaliers, Utah Jazz, Chicago Bulls, and Los Angeles Lakers. He was a two-time All-Star, being named to the prestigious game in 2007 and 2008 while a member of the Jazz.
Carlos was known as one of the best forwards in the NBA during his prime along all-time greats such as Dirk Nowitzki, Kevin Garnett, and Tim Duncan.
His sons are extremely talented players in their own right, both having five-star recruiting ratings according to 247 Sports.
Cameron is the higher-rated brother; he’s currently the third-ranked player in the 2025 class, while Cayden is the 24th-ranked player.
They also play different positions, as Cameron acquired a similar build to his father at 6’9″, 235-pounds while Cayden stands at 6’4″, 205 pounds. The former is a power forward, while the latter is a point guard.
Both are committed to Duke — the same university their father went to.

During his time with the Blue Devils, Carlos was a part of 95 wins and three ACC championships. He also led Duke to the biggest accomplishment of all: a national championship in the 2001 season.
Now, 25 years later, the Boozer twins will have a chance to replicate their father’s success at the same exact place.
