Even though Mason Taylor started the offseason as a second or third-round pick, his impressive gameplay made everyone change their minds. He has been an impressive scout for LSU tight end, first at the Reese’s Senior Bowl.
He stood out with an outstanding performance, showcasing blocking and catching skills. And finally, in the NFL, he was one of the best performers in the drills. Despite him avoiding taking a physical test before the big match, he seems absolutely fit. He played better than the rest of the crowd and caught the attention of analysts. They were amazed and wondered about their assumptions before ranking Taylor in the draft pick. And now, they will rethink their decision.

Mason Taylor Shines at NFL Combine, Outperforms Other Tight Ends:
Mason Taylor was ranked lower than Harold Fannin Jr. and Gunnar Helm on some draft boards before the NFL Combine. But that became a thing of the past when actual drills began.

Rich Eisen and Daniel Jeremiah couldn’t stop praising his wonderful gameplay and how easily and smoothly he ran and finished the gauntlet drill. His flow was so natural that it shocked everyone to the core. ESPN draft analyst Matt Miller couldn’t stop himself as well and praised him, saying, “Mason Taylor is clearly in a different tier than the other tight ends working out.”
Mason Taylor got one more opportunity before the NFL Draft. As LSU’s Pro Day is about to begin, he is making himself ready to take part in all the tests and challenge himself against the odds. A fast 40-yard dash and strong athletic numbers might remove any doubts about his first-round potential.
“Every opportunity is an open door,” Taylor said at the Combine. “Every time a team wants to talk to you, it’s a blessing.”
