UConn Signee, All-American Braylon Mullins Breaks High School Scoring Mark

Head coach Danny Hurley and the UConn Huskies might have themselves a future superstar set to join them in McDonald’s All-American Braylon Mullins, who set an incredible record earlier this week.

College Sports Network’s CBB Power Rankings analyze every team’s strength in a proprietary ranking system, from No. 1 to No. 364. Who are the real contenders?

    Braylon Mullins Makes History

The Indiana native made magic happen earlier this week for Greenfield-Central by becoming the school’s all-time leading scorer. His 26 points ended up helping him notch his 2,065th career point, which is ridiculous.

After he set the record, a cool moment was captured between him and his teammates.

It was all hugs and smiles for the future UConn stud, and that should excite Coach Hurley, who has proven over his tenure that he can coach championship teams and grow NBA talent. Mullins is surely looking to have both a great career in college and in the pros, so he is going to a great place in Stoors.

And if this season is any indication, the Huskies need his help.

    UConn is Underperforming

This season, Danny Hurley’s team has not performed as well as he or the fan base would like. After coming off of back-to-back national titles, the Huskies are currently unranked.

They are 19-9 overall and are 11-6 in Big East play, which is not that bad at all when you consider the fact that they will be going to the NCAA Tournament.

However, they have not played up to the standard that has been set under Hurley and Co. for years. The team has had bad losses to teams like Seton Hall and Colorado, but they do have a chance to find their footing before the Big East Tournament and the NCAA Tournament.

Bringing in a player like Mullins will help this team sure up any issues that it has on the wings. A 47% shooter from three-point range, the 6’5″ Mullins will be able to add another layer to the offense when he joins up next season.

For now, he should enjoy his time as one of the best high school players in the nation.

When the time comes, he could be considered one of the best college players when it is all said and done in Stoors.
