How Darryn Peterson and AJ Dybantsa Stack Up

Insider Jonathan Givony recently wrote about both players on social media but seemed to give the edge to the guard in Peterson. Givony also noted that Peterson is 2-0 against superstar Utah high school basketball player AJ Dybantsa.

As of now, it looks like the Kansas-bound Peterson is just a notch ahead of the BYU-bound Dybantsa.

In both of their battles against each other this season, the two combined for a total of 60 points in the first game in December before following that up with 107 combined points in the second game earlier this month.

The explosiveness and play-making ability of these two future stars was on full display for the basketball world to see.

    The Future of College Basketball

Seeing as both players are set to show up and show out at the next level, their NIL deals are worth noting.

According to On3, Peterson is making $1.4 million thanks to deals with Adidas and Epic Games, while Dybantsa signed a whopping NIL deal at BYU that averages around $7.0 million.

The money is going to keep coming for these two players, especially if they continue to play to their full potential at their next stops. But the next question will be whether or not these guys can take their respective colleges far down the road.

Peterson at Kansas has a chance to continue the tradition of excellence in Lawrence. Under the leadership of Bill Self, look for the California native to really shine at the top of the key.

For Dybantsa, look for him to give the Cougars a chance to go to new heights.

As they sit at the No. 25 spot in the country, adding one of the best high school players in the country can only help the cause of head coach Kevin Young.
