Kentucky Men’s basketball coach Mark Pope has assured fans that senior guards Jaxson Robinson, Lamont Butler, and senior forward Andrew Carr are all fine despite fears over their health.
Robinson, Butler, and Carr all played for the Wildcats in their thrilling win over the Oklahoma Sooners on Wednesday. However, there were question marks regarding their health moving forward with the SEC and NCAA Tournaments coming in a few weeks.

Mark Pope Calms Jaxson Robinson, Lamont Butler, and Andrew Carr Injury Fears
Robinson, Butler, and Carr only recently returned from injury but all played in the game, although not much.
Robinson had not played since he injured his writs during practice on February 7, 2025, while Butler had missed the last three games before Wednesday night.
Carr, meanwhile, only returned from an injury in the game against Alabama. But while they did play against Oklahoma, concerns remain over their fitness.
However, Pope has allayed all injury fears, although he did say they would have to wait until the following day to know more.
“I think Andrew is doing okay. I think Lamont is okay; we’ll see. You know for us moving forward, it’s always the morning after that we are going to know a lot more,” Pope said in his post-match press conference, which was shared on “Kentucky Sports Radio’s” YouTube page.
The Wildcats coach also revealed that Butler felt good coming into the game, although the brace he had made him uncomfortable.
“Lamont has been actually pretty good for the last week, 10 days. Maybe back to where he was before we threw him out last time, so we are just in this waiting space,” Pope continued.
“You know he’s moving great. The limited movement you might notice on the court is cause this brace is so tight right now, trying to keep them together.”

Pope went further to say that he played the guys because it gave them the chance to play the last few games of the season.
“I think the thinking was it was four games left. It was like a good runaway for him to find himself back into this,” Pope explained.
“I think this game kinda means something here at Oklahoma, means something to Jacks too, and I think he was excited to get out here, and I think both those guys were dying to get back on the floor, so you they had both been clear, he added.
Jaxson Robinson, Lamont Butler, and Andrew Carr’s Performance in Kentucky’s Thrilling Win
All three players making their comeback from injury posted identical numbers in the win over the Sooners. Robinson, Butler, and Carr all dropped seven points, with Robinson registering one assist.
Otega Oweh was the star player for Kentucky, though, dropping 28 points and six rebounds in the win.
Kentucky will next be in action on Saturday when they host the No. 1 Auburn Tigers at 1 p.m. ET on ABC. The No. 17 Wildcats also have games against LSU and No. 14 Missouri before wrapping up the regular season.
