The No. 17-ranked Kentucky Wildcats will be traveling on the road to face the Oklahoma Sooners in a key SEC matchup tonight.
Kentucky may be able to take the court with guards Lamont Butler and Jaxson Robinson both in the lineup.

The Significance of Lamont Butler and Jaxson Robinson’s Return
According to the initial report from On3, Butler (shoulder) and Robinson (wrist) are listed as “probable” for the game.

Getting both of them back in the lineup could be huge for this contending Kentucky team. Butler has proven to be a vital piece of head coach Mark Pope’s team, as he is averaging 12.5 points per game and making over 50% of his shots from this field. When it comes to Robinson, he is scoring at an even greater clip of 13.3 points per game for Pope and Co.
Getting these two back in the lineup will be important not only for tonight’s matchup but also for Kentucky as they prepare for March Madness.
The Wildcats Need a Road Win
While the Wildcats are a top-20 team in the country, they have somewhat of a weakness on the road. They are just 2-6 on the road this season and have not won away from Rupp Arena since late January.
This will be a great test in a hostile environment against a desperate Sooners team that needs a win to stay in the hunt for a hopeful NCAA Tournament berth.

Speaking of the NCAA Tournament, winning away from home is essential for teams looking to contend for a national title. The Kentucky Wildcats, who have a proud history, have won just one title in the last 25 years. After cutting ties with great head coach John Calipari last offseason, the pressure is on the program to try and win it all now.
That is why a road win later in the season, combined with the return of two star guards, might make all the difference in the world.
Time will tell if the Wildcats can perform like a winning team on the road for the first time in a while.
