The North Carolina Tar Heels have struggled on the basketball court this season, and fans have started to let head coach Hubert Davis know about it.

Could Hubert Davis Lose His Job This Year?
With the Tar Heels currently sitting at a record of 14-11 overall and a middle-of-the-pack conference record of 7-6, the fan base is starting to get very impatient.
Fans on social media, such as Tar Heel Nation, are appreciative of Davis’ time and effort in coaching the team, but they believe it is time for the school to move on.
I’d thank Hubert Davis for loving his university and his efforts, buy him out, and show him and this staff the door.

Aside from an NIT invite in 2022-2023, Davis has been able to guide the program to multiple deep NCAA Tournament runs. In his first season, the team went all the way to the title game but ended up losing to the Kansas Jayhawks. Last season, they won the ACC regular season title and made it to the Sweet 16.
But with the team on the cusp of failing to make the NCAA Tournament this year, could his job be in jeopardy?
At a proud program like North Carolina, anything could be on the table, especially because of the standard that Dean Smith and Roy Williams set before the arrival of Davis.
Can North Carolina Still Save Their Season?
Of course, the Tar Heels are not officially eliminated from anything yet. But they have to go on a real run right now.
The team has seven games left in the regular season, and most of those games are coming against teams that are struggling. Teams like Syracuse, Miami, NC State, Virginia Tech, Florida State, and Virginia are six of the seven teams left on the Tar Heels’ schedule. Each of them sit below North Carolina in the ACC standings.

If Hubert Davis and Co. could win all of those games, they may have some more life in their lungs before the start of the ACC Tournament. If they cannot handle business down the stretch, that could be it for Davis, who could have his fair share of suitors if the school decides to move in a new direction.
