This weekend witnessed a significant uptick in the excitement surrounding college football as Oregon Ducks head coach Dan Lanning took off his shirt on national television. During ESPN’s College GameDay broadcast prior to the matchup between No. 3 Oregon and No. 7 Indiana, Lanning removed his shirt in the direction of the crowd, displaying the tattoo of his wife inked across his ribs.
The moment soon became viral on social media, resulting in divided fans on X.

“ya know what hell yeah brother,” stated a fan.
“I saw that before and it’s kinda weird,” commented a fan.
“Hell ya brother,” remarked a fan.
“Is there any way to mute this buffoon so we can only hear the rest of the Gameday crew?,” stated another fan.
“Man this shit is so stupid and cringy. Happy I don’t watch this crap anymore,” remarked another fan.
“That was awesome,” commented another fan.
Since Lanning took over the program, in December of 2021, he has been remarkably successful to fashion a 40-6 record. The Ducks are currently riding a 23-game regular season winning streak, which is the longest active streak in the nation, and they are also currently 11-0 in conference play having joined the Big Ten.

Oregon Coach Dan Lanning Stays Committed Amid Coaching Rumors
Oregon has had a remarkable season so far as they have one of the best defenses in the country, only allowing 123.4 passing yards per game, and no offense has topped 200 passing yards this year. On the defensive side, Ducks linebacker Matayo Uiagalelei is leading the way with four sacks whilst Teitum Tuioti has recorded an impressive 2.5 sacks.
Meanwhile, quarterback Dante Moore is also firmly in the Heisman Trophy conversation this season. With an ideal offensive line which is allowing him time to dismantle opposing defenses, he’s been great for the Ducks so far. An elite defense and an explosive offense has Oregon sitting at 5-0 as they prepare this Saturday for the undefeated Hoosiers.
Lanning’s commitment to Oregon did not just stop at wins and losses. Despite rumors of him being linked to some of the biggest coaching jobs in college football, he has consistently diverted any talk to coaches searching for jobs.
