Whether it’s injuries, matchup-based, or simply wanting to replace someone, streamers are always available on the waiver wire each week in fantasy football.
Streamer players are usually picked up and dropped on a weekly basis in fantasy for various reasons. Injuries, lack of performance, or good/bad matchups can factor into a fantasy owner picking up a ‘low-key’ option that may be available on the waiver wires.
As we look at kickers around the league, they are often viewed as steamer positions in fantasy football, as some fantasy users add and drop new kickers every week.
Let’s look at three steamer option kickers for Week 6:
Fantasy Football Kicker Streamers in Week 6
Michael Badgley
Just two days ago, kicker Michael Badgley was signed by the Indianapolis Colts. Badgley was picked up after the Colts placed Spencer Shrader on injured reserve, as he tore his ACL and MCL in the team’s Week 5 game with the Las Vegas Raiders.

Badgley did not play last year, as he was sidelined due to a torn hamstring. Despite not seeing action since the 2023 season, the Colts were confident to bring him back for his third stint in Indy. With the Colts having one of the best offenses in the league, Badgley could emerge as a better kicker in fantasy football.
Matt Prater
Matt Prater is 41 years old, but he’s still one of the best kickers in the NFL this season. Prater was picked up on September 4 by the Buffalo Bills after starting kicker Tyler Bass suffered a groin/hip injury.
Prater has had one of the best seasons by any kicker. He’s 10-11 for field goals and is 1-1 from 50+yard tries. He’s also a perfect 15-15 on extra point attempts.
Wil Lutz
Wil Lutz is in his third season with the New Orleans Saints and has been solid during his tenure. This season, he’s made 6-7 field goals and went 2-2, including a 55-yard field goal against Philadelphia last week.
Lutz is a perfect 13-13 on extra point attempts and was a reliable kicker for Denver early this season.
Must start kickers for Week 6:
-Brandon Aubrey, Dallas Cowboys
-Cameron Dicker, Los Angeles Chargers
-Chase McLouhglin, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
