    Jaxson Dart Shares Message as Charlie Kirk Passes Away During Utah Campus Shooting

    Former Ole Miss Rebels quarterback and now New York Giants rookie Jaxson Dart recently reacted to a looming tragedy via social media. On Wednesday, Sept. 10, reports surfaced that American civil rights activist Charlie Kirk had passed away after being shot during a public speaking engagement at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah.

    On his Instagram stories, Dart shared a couple of posts about Kirk. Along with this, the 22-year-old included heartfelt messages directed towards Kirk’s family. Dart also asserted that he is calling on his country to stop violence as a whole and for the United States to unite as one for a greater cause.

    “Praying for him and his family!! Charlie did great things for our country!! Political violence NEEDS TO STOP!! Pray for our country, man. This is disgusting and sad!!!!,” Dart captioned on Kirk’s previous Instagram upload with one of his children.

    Dart posted another Instagram story that called on to pray for Kirk.

    “May God watch over him and his family,” Dart wrote with a praying and a broken heart emoji.

    With the development that Kirk had passed away from his gunshot wounds, Dart reflected on the life that the late activist had lived.

    Dart is currently in his first season in the NFL with coach Brian Daboll’s Giants after spending four years in collegiate football. He started his career with the USC Trojans before transferring to the Ole Miss Rebels for the next three years of his tenure. He was then selected with the 25th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft by the Giants.

    Jaxson Dart Reposts What Erika Kirk Said After The Passing Of Her Husband

    Along with Jaxson Dart sending out heartfelt messages for Charlie Kirk on his Instagram stories, he also shared a post by @foxnews on Instagram.

    The post showcases what Charlie Kirk’s wife, Erika, said after the news of his passing. She wrote a Bible verse on her X/Twitter account that read:

    “Psalm 46:1 – God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”

    Dart is now uncorking his rookie year in the league, and most recently was a part of the Giants’ disappointing season-opening loss to the Washington Commanders by 15 points, 21-6.
