Deion Sanders has been taking some time off from his duties as the Colorado head coach due to an unspecified illness that has even led to a 14-pound weight loss.
It was reported that his health started declining after Shedeur Sanders’ dramatic NFL Draft slide. Shedeur was projected to be a top-5 pick and ended up being selected by the Cleveland Browns at the 144th overall pick.
However, fans were happy to see Deion, who has a networth of $60M (according to Celebrity Net Worth), being present for the 2025 Big 12 Media Days that’s taking place in Texas, close to the Colorado head coach’s house.
During the press conference, Deion called out a reporter from the The Athletic and refused to answer his question.

The tweet resulted in the fans slamming Sanders:
“When Arizona State fired Herm Edwards, there was booster money saying we needed to go after Deion Sanders. Every day, I’m so thankful ASU hired Kenny Dillingham instead,” one fan said.
“Shocker. Egomaniac gets his b*tt hurt over an innocent question,” another fan expressed frustration.
“Ever since he became a man of God, he appears to be even more full of sh*t than he already was,” a fan slammed Sanders.
“He knows he’s going to be lucky to win 6 games so I doubt he wants to talk about his football team,” another took predicted Colorado’s performance.
“Well at least he didn’t say Colorado was poor or that he actually grew up a Northern Iowa fan,” another fan joked.
“Deion won’t be there more than two more years. He was only there to coach his kids anyway,” another fan questioned Coach Prime’s future at Colorado.
When Deion Sanders Lashed Out at a Reporter During Press Conference
The Big 12 Media Days incident is not the first time Coach Prime has lost his cool on a media personnel during a press conference.
In September 2024, before a crucial matchup against Baylor, Deion Sanders lashed out at the reporters for questioning the college athletes now more than ever because of the money they earn through NIL, and even suggested that this is because they are envious of the players.
“So you’re on the attack. It was hands off a college player, because he was an amateur, remember that? Remember that, guys? Now it’s hands on, go at ’em, any kind of way you want. They’re making more money than me and I’m mad about it.”
Deion Sanders’ Colorado will kick off the 2025 college football season against Georgia Tech on Aug. 29th.
