Did Ace Bailey Just Leak His Draft Destination With His Outfit? Fans Think So

According to fans, Rutgers Scarlet Knights player, or should we say former player, Ace Bailey, may have revealed his destination in the NBA. During the pre-draft ceremonies, the player was seen sporting a black jacket with a red shirt underneath. In a video now widely circulated on social media, Rutgers teammate Dylan Harper is seen laughing at Bailey’s choice of outfit.

Fans saw a hidden meaning in the colors chosen by Bailey, as they predicted different teams the 18-year-old could be headed to.

“Ace wearing Raptors colors,” wrote one fan.

“Ace Bailey to the Bulls confirmed,” predicted another.

“The Atlanta Hawks hat is going to match perfectly with his suit,” another X user jokingly added.

All things being equal, we might as well predict him going to the remaining NBA franchise that predominantly uses red to identify itself: the Houston Rockets. That being said, it’s possible that the choice of color was a nod to Rutgers, as the school also sports red in its uniforms.

Leaving the realm of teams with red on their uniforms, one fan predicted that Bailey would join the 2024 NBA champions, the Boston Celtics.

“Good luck to all of the young men, especially the future Celtics 🍀,” the fan said.

Some were just happy to praise Bailey’s and Harper’s sense of style.

“They both look so good,” a fan wrote.

    Although not everyone agreed.

“Am I the only one who finds those suits ugly as hell???” another declared.

Brian Windhorst sings Ace Bailey’s praises ahead of the 2025 NBA Draft

According to ESPN’s Brian Windhorst, Ace Bailey could be a hidden treasure in the 2025 NBA Draft. Bailey, who is expected to be a top-five pick, was dubbed by Windhorst “the most dangerous player in the draft” on his podcast “The Hoop Collective” earlier this week.

“I’ve called him… every year or maybe one or two (a year)… there’s a dangerous player in the draft,” Windhorst said. “They are dangerous – not because drafting them is bad – they are dangerous just because if you pass on them you could have egg all over your face.”

“Here’s a guy who has got some red marks on the sheet. You take him, he ends up being a bust, that’s bad. You pass on him and he goes to Brooklyn and wins rookie of the year and averages 27 points his rookie year, the team that passed on him looks bad. That’s why I think he’s the most dangerous prospect in the draft, not that that’s a bad thing,” Windhorst concluded. “It sort of goes both ways.”

The draft stock of the Third-team All-Big Ten and Big Ten All-Freshman selection has fallen in the last few weeks. Apparently, the height reported by Rutgers was off by three inches, and Ace Bailey didn’t do well in recent team interviews. He’s also the only US-based player in the draft to not visit any teams.
