According to the CFN Strength of Schedule, the Utah 2024 football schedule is the 10th most difficult in the Big 12. Furthermore, it ranks 42nd out of the 134 FBS teams competing in the upcoming season. Of the 12 teams on the slate, the Utes have a winning record against seven of them, with two first-time encounters. Expect them to be fighting at the very top this fall.
The Utes start the 2024 campaign with a Thursday night clash against the Southern Utah Thundercats. They boast a 2-0 record against their FCS opponent. The out-of-conference slate of the Utah 2024 football schedule includes a rekindling of the “Band of Brothers” rivalry for the first time since 2015, plus a quirk of facing Big 12 Baylor as a non-conference opponent.
Utah is 82-29-4 against its first three opponents and could enter Big 12 play with a 3-0 record. Although the Utah 2024 football schedule features five in-conference road games, only the trip to Stillwater to face the Oklahoma State Cowboys and the season finale at the UCF Knights (inaugural matchup) should provide the Utes with a substantial challenge.
