Sam Pittman’s Salary and Contract in 2024

Pittman signed a contract extension in 2022 that extended his deal until 2026 with an option for an additional year and will pay him a salary of $6.2 million in 2024.

The contract includes a base salary of $6 million, including additional compensation, and Pittman’s deal is also increased by $100,000 each year he is retained.

An additional year on Pittman’s contract was exercised following the 2022 season. The option became compulsory if Pittman and the Razorbacks won seven games in a single season — a feat he accomplished in 2022.

Pittman’s compensation increased significantly with the contract extension, as he earned $3 million plus incentives on his original five-year contract, which was signed in 2020.

After starting his career as Arkansas head coach with a 3-7 season in 2020, Pittman finished his second season in Fayetteville with a 9-4 record, a victory in the Outback Bowl, and nationally ranked. It was enough to give him the contract extension, and the Arkansas side finished 7-6 in 2022.

Speaking after the contract extension was signed, Director of Athletics, Hunter Yurachek said, “Coach Pittman and his staff have done a tremendous job quickly restoring the pride and belief in our football program. There is no doubt, Coach Pittman has proven to be the right man to lead our football team.”

However, 2023 was a rough year in Fayetteville. The Razorbacks finished the season 4-8 and only won one conference game (over Florida in overtime).

This led to questions over his job security, but buying out Pittman’s contract would be enormously expensive, and the experienced coach will return to Arkansas in 2024.

Pittman’s Net Worth

Celebrity Net Worth reports that Pittman’s net worth will be $5 million in 2024, primarily due to the salaries he has obtained throughout his extensive coaching career.

Pittman started coaching in 1984 as a graduate assistant at Pittsburg State and has held several coaching positions. The Arkansas head coach made his reputation as an offensive line coach, the position he has primarily coached over his four-decade-long career.

Before taking his first head coaching job with the Razorbacks, Pittman was the offensive line coach at Georgia, a job he held from 2016 to 2019.
