    Aneesah Morrow is one of the brightest stars in women’s college basketball. She was ranked among the nation’s top 10 forwards in 2022 and was named the Katrina McClain Award winner by the Basketball Hall of Fame as the nation’s top power forward.

    Who are Aneesah Morrow’s parents?

    Aneesah Morrow was born on Feb. 2, 2003, into a family with a rich sports heritage. Her parents are Nafeesah and Edward Morrow.

    Edward Morrow played as a linebacker for Nebraska University, while Nafeesah Morrow was a forward for the Nebraska women’s basketball team. Aneesah is the fourth child in her family and has two older siblings who also played basketball.

    Her older brother, Ed Morrow Jr., played basketball for Nebraska before transferring to Marquette. Her sister, Nazlah Morrow, starred at Miami Dade Junior College before later playing at DePaul.

    What Does the Future Hold for Morrow?

    Morrow enters the 2025 WNBA draft as a projected top-five pick. She is the eighth player in NCAA history to have 2,500 career points and 1,500 career rebounds. Her skill set has WNBA teams salivating at the prospect of her joining their teams.

    She finished her college career with 2,852 points and 1,714 rebounds, putting her at third on the list of most rebounds in NCAA Division I history. She finished her career with 104 double-doubles, the second most in NCAA Division I history.

    Morrow’s performance at the NCAA tournament has outlets projecting her to land at the WNBA’s newest franchise, the Golden State Valkyries, who have the number five pick. However, the most probable landing spot for her is Connecticut, which has the number seven pick.
