Watch: Paige Bueckers Flaunts New UConn Jersey Ahead of March Madness Run

    Superstar Paige Bueckers and the No. 2 seed UConn Huskies have some new drip for their upcoming women’s NCAA tournament run. The senior guard from Hopkins, Minn., helped the team announce new jerseys in a social media video this morning. Keep reading to see the Huskies’ new uniforms.

    Paige Bueckers and UConn Huskies show off new jerseys

    The video, posted on UConn Women’s Basketball’s social media accounts, started with Bueckers sitting down with the team’s current jersey.

    “I can’t believe my time here at UConn is coming to an end, it’s been everything I ever dreamt of,” Bueckers said in the video. “As a kid I wanted to come here and wear this jersey with pride. It’s been an amazing journey. I wouldn’t trade it for the world. I just can’t believe I’m not gonna wear this jersey again, but that’s because we have some exciting things coming soon.”

    Following the message from Bueckers, the Huskies’ roster showed off the incredible new uniforms.

    The white home jerseys feature red and blue text for the team name and number. The blue, away jerseys feature red and white text.

    As the Huskies prepare for this March Madness run, Bueckers has told reporters she wants to “cherish” the experience.

    “It’s like you know the end is near, so you’re trying to cherish it and drag it out as long as possible because you don’t want it to end,” Bueckers told People Magazine. “But yeah, it’s definitely a crazy surreal feeling. You try not to even think about it being the end.”

    Bueckers led the Huskies in points and assists this season, with 19 and 4.9, respectively. They’ll look to her to turn on the jets in the postseason as they look ahead at the gauntlet of games ahead of them, including a potential matchup with No. 1 USC in the Elite Eight.
