Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese has been enjoying quite the support ever since she won the national championship with the LSU Tigers. After being picked seventh overall last year, Reese’s dynamic personality and evolving game has drawn a lot of attention to herself in support.
After walking the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in Brooklyn, New York, on Oct. 15, Reese’s following has increased drastically. She is enjoying all the love she is getting and out of nowhere on Friday, the forward posted a four-word message to acknowledge the love from fans.

Angel Reese Makes History By Walking The Ramp of Victoria’s Secret
It’s a dream of many models and professional athletes to attract the limelight on Victoria Secret’s Fashion show runaway. A couple of weeks ago, the Sky forward became the first professional athlete to don the signature “wings.” It was a full circle moment for Reese as she said:
“I literally could not stop smiling! It’s such a surreal and full-circle moment — just last year I was in the audience manifesting being on that runway, completely inspired and in awe of all the powerful women walking down the runway, and now I get to return as an Angel. This will be an unforgettable night that I’ll forever be grateful for.”
Reese didn’t take the opportunity on the runway any lightly. In the leadup to the show, she prepared rigorously, training with a runway coach, studying iconic models, and applying her athlete’s mentality to fashion.
“It’s all about confidence!” she said. “I’ve been training for both basketball and the fashion show these last couple of weeks … ”
Reese’s goals behind walking the runaway also lies in inspiring women and girls everywhere to be free when it comes to tapping different professions all at the same time.
“I hope I can inspire women and girls everywhere and remind them that we can dominate in our field but also chase our goals outside of it — and for me, that’s getting to walk down fashion and entertainment’s most iconic runway,” she said.
Reese’s debut might open doors for more such appearances by professional athletes on the biggest fashion stage.
