While the world of college basketball is heating up as the season is about to turn the page to March, the UTSA women’s team is set to make history this Saturday.
At the very least, attendance at the game should make history.

A New Attendance Record for UTSA
While UTSA is set to welcome Florida Atlantic on Saturday, they have recently put the word out for fans to show up and show out.
The all-time attendance record for a women’s game at UTSA came back in 1991 when 2,000 fans showed up to see the team face SMU. Nearly 35 years later, a new attendance record can be set.
Having it be Senior Day with an opportunity to win an AAC Championship is also part of the reason why plenty of fans may decide to show up in support of the team.
With a win, the Roadrunners will notch their 25th victory of the season.
The Significance of a Crowd
In men’s and women’s sports, having a strong crowd behind the team can sometimes make all the difference.
When it comes to college football, the crowds in the SEC have no other rival, as they make the atmosphere of each game electrifying. The same goes for college basketball, as crazy crowds are all over the country, and it could be no different on Saturday down in San Antonio.

For this UTSA team, it has the chance to make a huge difference against FAU this weekend. Look for star forward Jordyn Jenkins, who leads the team in scoring, rebounding, and blocks, to play her game with all eyes on her. Also, it is fair to mention point star guard Sidney Love, who leads the team in minutes played and is second in scoring.
With the Roadrunner crowd on their feet to set a new attendance record and with the team’s best stars playing their best ball, a win over FAU would not be a surprise in the least for the possible AAC champions.
