‘Signing Shirts, Basketballs, iPads’: UConn Star Azzi Fudd Left in Splits by Evolved Fan Demands During Camp

UConn star Azzi Fudd is preparing for her final season of college basketball with the Huskies. However, while she is focused on training so that she becomes a high pick in the 2026 WNBA draft, she also takes the time to give back to her community. On Saturday, the Azzi Fudd Basketball Camp began. It will take place across Saturday and Sunday and is for boys and girls aged seven to 18. Players of all skill levels were eligible to join the camp.

At the start of her camp on Saturday, Azzi Fudd posted a video to her Instagram story. In the video, Fudd can be seen signing various items, including shirts, basketballs, and iPads, for the players at the camp.

“Signing shirts, basketballs, iPads…” Azzi Fudd wrote with the crying laughing emoji.

While the purpose of the camp is to help young players develop their skills through drills and competitive games, it is also exciting for the kids to meet one of their idols. Fudd has developed a huge fanbase in the world of women’s basketball, so it is not surprising that she is getting asked to sign a lot of autographs.

Azzi Fudd Expresses Her Excitement About Starting the Azzi Fudd Basketball Camp

Azzi Fudd has been showing her excitement for starting the Azzi Fudd Basketball Camp throughout the lead-up. On Friday, she posted on X, showing her excitement and encouraging fans to donate to LoveAbby.org, the charity the camp is supporting this year.

“The 9th annual Azzi Fudd Basketball Camp starts tomorrow!!!” Azzi Fudd wrote. “Super excited to see my returning campers, new campers, and to find out who traveled the furthest to attend camp! This will be my biggest camp ever…this year we are supporting the LoveAbby.org.”

When Fudd is done training the kids at her camp, she will get back to full-time training for her final season of college basketball. She is entering her fifth season at UConn and only has another season of eligibility because she was granted a medical redshirt in her junior year after suffering a season-ending injury as a junior. Last season, she was able to return to play full-time, and she will be looking to build on her momentum this coming season.
