“Been Waiting for This”: Fans Go Head Over Heels as UConn Stars Azzi Fudd, KK Arnold, Morgan Cheli and More Share BTS of Glamorous ESPYs Look

UConn Huskies stars Azzi Fudd, KK Arnold, and Morgan Cheli among others were in attendance for the 2025 ESPY Awards. The 33rd annual ceremony of the ESPY Awards took place on July 16, 2025 at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles. Sure enough, the ladies looked glamorous walking the red carpet, serving looks as good as they hoop on the floor.

One of the most awaited media the fans eagerly anticipated was the BTS of this award ceremony. Cheli posted a GRWM video on her TikTok page, featuring Fudd and Arnold in the same. It was definitely a treat for the fans to watch and they could not stop gushing over their favorite college basketball stars looking more stunning than ever.

One fan’s remark clearly captures the excitement for this media in the most fitting way:

“YES I’VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS.”

Some users just couldn’t stop gushing over how pretty Morgan Cheli looked in the video:

    “SO CUTE!! U LOOKED GORGEOUS!”

“Ahh mo you looked so good”

“You looked so pretty morgan i’m still not over it.”

This user’s comment reveals just how much of an endearing dedication they have for Cheli as a fan. They were willing to clean their room if they received a reply from Cheli to their comment:

“Gorggg, if you reply i’ll clean my room.”

One fan was lucky to receive a reply from the Huskies freshman guard. As the user complimented Cheri’s hairstylist, she replied to the comment, saying:

    “She was the besttt.”

Though the Huskies stars did not win any ESPY award this year, they did pull up to the event to give their fans a glamorous show.

UConn Huskies finished second in the Best Team category for 2025 ESPY Awards

The UConn Huskies women’s basketball team finished second in the Best Team category, behind winners Philadelphia Eagles of the NFL. The Huskies’ strong performance in the 2024-25 college basketball season and an eventual National Championship helped them reach this stage as one of the finalists for the category.

However, the Super Bowl winners stole the show, perhaps leaving room for the Huskies to bag an award next season.

USC’s JuJu Watkins won the Best College Athlete award for Women’s Sports. On the other hand, Duke standout and 2025 NBA No.1 draft pick Cooper Flagg won the Best College Athlete award for Men’s Sports.

The UConn Huskies have not won any ESPY award since 2024 and this year was yet another dry spell. Perhaps, next year might be the charm for the Huskies.
