The TCU Horned Frogs find themselves in a position they have never been in their program’s history: winning over 30 games during the regular season, being a top-2 seed in March Madness, and having a legitimate chance to make massive noise. The Big 12 Champions’ Magical Season

TCU finished this season 31-3 and became Big 12 Champions for the first time in school history. This has been one of the biggest surprises throughout this season, as the Horned Frogs came into the season unranked and ended at No. 6 in the Coaches and AP Top 25 Poll.

Though they are getting ready for March Madness this season, the origin of this success dates back to April 26, 2024, when superstar guard Hailey Van Lith chose to transfer to TCU.

She is currently leading the team in points, assists, and steals and won the Big 12 Player of the Year and Newcomer of the Year awards. She even took home Big 12 Tournament MVP.

Van Lith, coupled with center Sedona Price and lethal three-point marksman Madison Conner, creates a real threat to get to the Final Four.

This season, Conner is shooting 45% from three. Prince puts up nearly 18 points a game and is in the top four nationally in blocks. Van Lith has been one of the top passers this season, putting together the most efficient season in her five-year collegiate career. This big three has helped TCU to an 8-2 record against ranked teams.

The Horned Frogs are riding a 10-game winning streak into the NCAA Tournament. Their first game is on Friday against NCAA Tournament newcomer and No. 15 seed Fairleigh Dickinson.
