Former South Carolina Gamecocks star and now LSU Tigers guard MiLaysia Fulwiley showed some of the moves she worked on at a recent practice session. On Saturday, Nov. 8, Fulwiley posted a video of herself showing her impressive hooping skills during a training session of coach Kim Mulkey’s 2025-26 team. Fulwiley also tagged one of her assistant coaches, Gary Redus.
In the clip, Fulwiley is seen running to the rim while bouncing the ball high up. This is presumably to set up a self alley-oop, wherein the standout slasher was able to rise high and catch it. Fulwiley then grazed the rim and converted the shot, as Redus was seen in the background celebrating. The Columbia, South Carolina, native included a hilarious caption to her upload.
“Elite layups only, G said this dunk-ishhh @g.redus,” Fulwiley captioned with a plethora of emojis.

As Fulwiley continues to work on her game with Redus, the Tigers are confirmed to be practicing on the campus of Georgia Southern University. This is because LSU is scheduled to face the Georgia Southern Eagles for their third game of the 2025-26 campaign on Sunday, Nov. 9, at the Hanner Fieldhouse in Statesboro, Georgia. Fulwiley and the Tigers are looking to improve on their 2-0 overall record.
With momentum on their side so far in the non-conference schedule, Fulwiley, Redus, and the rest of their squad are bringing in the confidence from their last game against the Eagles. This is because on Thursday, Nov. 6, the Tigers demolished the Southeastern Louisiana Lady Lions by a staggering 89 points, 115-26, in their second game of the year on their home court, the Pete Maravich Assembly Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

In Gary Redus’ Instagram story, he recorded several players of the LSU Tigers program in a half-court shooting contest.
Redus was screaming at his players, saying they were struggling to make a shot from that area, as he said he already made one, with the likes of veteran Flau’jae Johnson captured in the video. When the camera panned to MiLaysia Fulwiley, she was able to finally sink in a half-court shot.
