LSU Tigers guard Flau’Jae Johnson’s Instagram post continues gaining significant social media attention, including a reaction from a sports star’s husband.

The LSU star made an Instagram post about her experiences on Tuesday, Feb. 18, which Just Women’s Sports later shared.
“Too Dark. Too Tomboyish. Not Feminine Enough. Pretty For A Dark-skin girl ,Not Focused. Too Skinny. No Sex Appeal. Be A Rapper. Just Hoop. I CAN Only Be Me.
“Just Cause I Carry it well Doesn’t Mean It Ain’t Heavy.. What I’m doing has never been done before and I’m shattering expectations by pursuing multiple passions, and I won’t be held back by doubts or comparisons. If I don’t excel in one area, it doesn’t diminish my abilities in another,” some of the post says.

Tennis legend Serena Williams’ husband, Alexis Ohanian, shared the post on his Instagram story on Wednesday with the caption:
“Keep going.”

Johnson is the daughter of rapper Jason Johnson, also known as Camoflauge, who was killed in 2003. In her junior year, Johnson is LSU’s standout player and a possible WNBA prospect.
Although she has not declared for the pro women’s basketball league yet, despite being eligible, she does have a deal with Unrivaled, an offseason 3×3 women’s league.
On Valentine’s Day, Johnson released her R&B album, “Flau & B,” which is making waves on social media.
LSU women’s basketball is hosting Georgia at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center on Thursday. The No. 7 Tigers are not just aiming to get back on their winning ways following their loss to the Texas Longhorns on Sunday, they are also playing for a good cause.
Thursday’s matchup is an annual Play4Kay game, with the Kay Yow Cancer Fund partnering with Johnson as one of its Servant Leaders this year. Associate head coach Bob Starkey pledged to donate $1 dollar for every LSU student in attendance for the game, an annual commitment he made as his wife Sherie is a breast cancer survivor

Johnson, who wore the Play4Kay patch on her jersey all season, made the same pledge since her freshman season in Baton Rouge.

LSU’s game against Georgia is one of four regular season games remaining. The Tigers will face No. 14 Kentucky, No. 18 Alabama, and Ole Miss before entering the NCAA tournament.
