Sarah Strong shone for UConn in the latest game against Ohio State, and Geno Auriemma’s former star, Paige Bueckers, was absolutely hyped. Strong dropped 29 points, 13 rebounds, and 7 assists against the Buckeyes. Huskies’ sophomore led the court in both points and rebounds.
UConn pulled off a blowout 100-68 win against Ohio State. Huskies star Azzi Fudd scored 19 points. New transfer Blanca Quinonez also had a good outing with 18 points. Freshman Serah Williams showed her worth with 12 points. Uncharacteristically, KK Arnold had a bad day at the office. Although she had five assists, 0 points is not something to be associated with Arnold’s game.
Paige Bueckers, a through-and-through Husky, showed her excitement for Sarah Strong’s masterclass. Bueckers was left speechless after Strong’s 29-point performance. She took to her X account and dropped four words – “Sarah Strong… no words.”

This was Geno Auriemma’s second-biggest win of the season, tied with the 99-67 win against Florida State. The Huskies have made a perfect start to the season with a 4-0 record.
Geno Auriemma’s team has carried its form and momentum from its national championship season. UConn will look towards defending its NCAA title. Despite Paige Bueckers’ absence, Azzi Fudd and company look strong enough to win back-to-back championships.
