A’Ja Wilson is known for being one of the greatest players in WNBA history and is one of the most well-respected athletes in the world today. However, she raised plenty of eyebrows after she and the Las Vegas Aces defeated the Phoenix Mercury 86-83.
During the post-game press conference, she likened forcing the game to come to her to flatulence, and that trying to force the matter will result in a pretty wet exit.
“I told myself after the All-Star break to just let the game come to me,” she said in the press conference. “If I try to harp on it and force it because I want this win so bad for my team, it’s like forcing a fart; all you get is s***. So I just really learned to be patient with myself, but also [with] my teammates. I think that game kinda showed that.”
Many were shocked to hear an analogy like that from the three-time WNBA MVP who led the Las Vegas Aces to multiple WNBA titles. However, one person who knows A’ja Wilson well, New York Knicks star Jalen Brunson, says this is a “Top 5” for her.
“This is top 5 @aja22wilson,” he wrote in his instagram story.
Wilson and Brunson, whose net worth is around $18 million, have been good friends, with Wilson also appearing on Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart’s “Roommates” podcast.
As for the Las Vegas Aces, their season is turning around after a slow start. They have improved to 20-14 and are now possible title contenders as the WNBA playoffs slowly approach.
A’ja Wilson, Teammate Visibly Shocked by Her Fart Analogy
Meanwhile, while A’ja Wilson’s quote went viral on itself, it also went viral for her Aces teammate, Chelsea Gray’s reaction after she said it, predicting that it would go viral and was flabbergasted in saying so.
Gray’s mouth was agape as the camera panned towards her reaction to what her teammate just said, before saying that the clip would go viral and apologized to everyone there for what Wilson just said as she was shaking her head.

Reporters laughed as Gray’s exasperated expression said it all.
As for the Aces, they are on a tear, winning nine of their last 12 games, with the All-Star break proving to do wonders for the team, which had struggled early in the season due to injury problems. During that timespan, Wilson averaged a double-double with 22.2 points, 11.3 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 1.7 blocks per game.
