Two former college basketball rivals for the NCAA championship recently reunited during a camp by an NBA superstar. On Thursday, Aug. 14, four-time NBA champion Stephen Curry posted on his Instagram account through his stories a clip of UConn Huskies star Azzi Fudd and former South Carolina Gamecocks standout and now LSU Tigers guard MiLaysia Fulwiley to be attending his camp with global sportswear brand Under Armor.
In the clip, Fudd and Fulwiley are seen passing each other a basketball while moving vertically in one of the drills for Curry’s camp. Curry, who has a net worth of $240 million per Celebrity Net Worth, just finished his 16th year in the NBA in the 2024-25 season, all of which was spent with the Golden State Warriors. As it’s currently the offseason for both the league and collegiate hoops, that may be the case for the linkup between Fudd and Fulwiley.

Curry has enjoyed a lengthy partnership with Under Armor, as the former recently released his 12th signature sneaker with the brand earlier this year. With this, annual camps such as the one Fudd and Fulwiley attended have been the norm, with Fulwiley’s former school in the University of South Carolina, being backed by the sportswear brand. For UConn and LSU, however, their main supplier is Nike.
Nevertheless, both Fudd and Fulwiley seemed to have dismissed their rivalry, first to attend and participate in the camp, as both players have different agendas heading into the 2025-26 season. Fudd will be entering her fifth and final year of college hoops, all being spent with coach Geno Auriemma’s Huskies. For Fulwiley, she looks to open a new path as a member of coach Kim Mulkey’s squad, who won the NCAA championship back in 2023.
Azzi Fudd’s UConn Huskies defeated MiLaysia Fulwiley’s South Carolina Gamecocks for the 2025 NCAA title
As mentioned, the rivalry between Azzi Fudd’s UConn Huskies and MiLaysia Fulwiley‘s former team, the South Carolina Gamecocks, runs deep as both squads are the premier programs today in women’s basketball. This was then propelled when the Huskies defeated the Gamecocks, who were defending their 2024 national title, in this year’s NCAA championship game by 23 points, 82-59.
This gave Fudd her first national title and UConn’s 12th ever, as Fulwiley and the Gamecocks had their back-to-back national title dreams thwarted. Fudd and the Huskies now have the chance to win consecutive national championships in the 2025-26 campaign.
