In the quarterfinals of the SEC Women’s Tournament, the No. 11-seeded Florida Gators are set to face off against the No. 3-seeded LSU Tigers.
While the Gators fight to keep their season alive, the Tigers are looking to continue their dominance.

Game Information
If fans are looking for some competitive SEC women’s basketball, this is the game to watch. The game will tip off at 8:30 p.m. ET on the SEC Network from Greenville, South Carolina.
This will be LSU’s first game in the tournament, seeing as they received a double-bye after finishing the regular season with a conference record of 12-4.
Meanwhile, Florida finished the regular season with a 5-11 conference record but was able to beat both Auburn and Alabama on their way to facing off against the Tigers.
While the Tigers might be the better team at tip-off, the Gators will have plenty of momentum.
Important Notes
The reason the LSU Tigers are such a good team is that they have an all-time great head coach in Kim Mulkey and a couple of All-SEC performers in guard Flau’Jae Johnson and Aneesah Morrow.
Johnson and Morrow are both averaging over 18.0 points per game, while Morrow is averaging a whopping 14.0 rebounds per game. Johnson will likely miss this matchup due to injury, but Morrow could step up and control the pace.
If the Gators hope to win the upset and continue their season, they will have to shut her down.
Another LSU All-SEC guard, Mikaylah Williams, is sitting out of the tournament due to health reasons, which gives the Gators even more leeway for an upset.

When these two teams previously met in January, the Tigers defeated the Gators by 17 points. This time around should be a lot closer.
In the first matchup, LSU forced Florida to turn the ball over 24 times, which resulted in 35 points. The Tigers also had 14 more fast-break points and 16 more points in the paint.
Florida head coach Kelly Rae Finley has to preach to her team that handing the ball carefully will be key in this battle.
