There, she led the Raiders to an NJCAA National Championship, earning Tournament MVP honors. She was named FCSAA Player of the Year in 2022, averaging 14.7 points and 4.0 rebounds. Her standout junior college career made her a highly sought-after transfer, ultimately landing her at LSU.
During her time with the Tigers, Poa’s role evolved. As a junior, she started 10 games, averaging 4.9 points and 3.0 assists. As a senior, Poa played in 30 games, starting 15, while posting 2.0 points and 1.9 assists per game. As LSU seeks to fill Poa’s position, including targeting players like Ohio State’s Cotie McMahon and Arizona’s Breya Cunningham, Poa’s departure leaves a void. Arizona State, coming off a 10-22 season, is under new leadership with head coach Molly Miller, who was hired after a successful stint at Grand Canyon University. Poa’s addition signals a promising direction for the Sun Devils.
