In three years with the Tigers, Poa won a national championship and made it to the NCAA Tournament’s Elite Eight three times. The Australian averaged 3.5 points, 2.0 assists, and 1.2 rebounds per game through 102 games in three seasons for LSU.

5 Potential Destinations for Last-Tear Poa

Poa announced on Wednesday that she’ll be entering the portal.

Poa enters the portal with one more year of eligibility. Let’s take a look at her potential landing spots.

    Purdue Boilermakers

Purdue relied on freshman guard Amiyah Reynolds this season, but Reynolds has entered the transfer portal and the boilermakers would need to replace her. Reynolds had 1.9 points and 1.3 assists per game for Purdue this season. Poa outperformed Reynolds in this regard so Purdue would be getting a form of upgrade.

    Notre Dame Fighting Irish

Notre Dame has lost several players to the transfer portal and will be doing a lot of rebuilding ahead of next season. Emma Risch, a sophomore guard, is one of those who’ll need replacing.

Risch averaged 5.7 points, 1.1 assists, and 1.8 rebounds per game, and while Poa isn’t exactly a significant upgrade, she brings experience and could be the playmaker Notre Dame needs.

    Indiana Hoosiers

The Hoosiers lost Henna Sandvik, who had been on their roster for three seasons. The junior guard averaged 1.7 points and 1.3 rebounds per game. Indiana could benefit from Poa’s ball-handling abilities as they seek to replace their guard.

    Penn State Nittany Lions

Talayah Walker, a freshman guard for Penn State, has entered the transfer portal. She averaged 5.6 points per game for the Lady Lions. Poa is capable of being the difference maker off the bench, as her skill set could be very useful for Penn State.

    Kentucky Wildcats

The Wildcats lost veteran point guard Saniah Tyler to the transfer portal. Kentucky will be looking for a similar profile, a player with experience, to replace Tyler. Poa’s experience on a championship-level team will come in handy.
