Lane Kiffin recently switched ships in the middle of the season. Ole Miss and their head coach Kiffin parted ways this week. Kiffin accepted the LSU job despite a successful start to the season at Ole Miss with 11-1 record, Kiffin was attracted to the LSU program after Brian Kelly’s firing. This was a shock many people and the reaction were pouring in. Another reaction was from LSU women’s basketball head coach Kim Mulkey.
Ole Miss letting Lane Kiffin leave, has been judged as a bad decision by a lot of fans. LSU’s head coach Kim Mulkey shared a similar opinion. Mulkey appeared on the weekly LSU based podcast and talked about Lane Kiffin joining the LSU sports program.
The hosts Jacob Hester and Matt Flynn shared how they love having Mulkey on the podcast and she is their favorite guest. Mulkey started with a joke and suggested they should invite Lane Kiffin and then he would be their new favorite.
“If y’all haven’t gotten Lane Kiffin, then y’all need to come to my house and we need to go find him, baby,” Mulkey said.
“Well, it is crazy, but it’s even crazier at LSU. So, here’s my question to y’all. Okay, I wake up and I read stuff. They didn’t want Lane Keifin to coach them through the playoffs, but they’ll take the offensive coordinator who’s coming to LSU,” She continued.
“You better come back over here cuz we don’t really know what we’re doing offensively because we hired a defensive coordinator. So, I guess my question is, what’s the difference? Don’t you think whatever you thought Lane was going to do to take players in the portal, Weiss can do the same thing?” Mulkey voiced her opinion on Ole Miss’ plans after firing Kiffin.
Kim Mulkey Reacts to Rick Pitino’s Comment on Lane Kiffin Drama
Mulkey shared her confusion about Lane Kiffing getting his bonus from Ole Miss or LSU. She also talked about Lane letting his offensive coordinator stay back in Ole Miss.
Then she said how she had seen Rick Pitino’s quote and she agreed with St. John’s head coach. She stated that college football is broken in respect to a lot of things. She claimed how the NCA could change the transfers windows but how the calendar had made it tough.
