Former South Carolina guard MiLaysia Fulwiley made headlines recently after deciding to enter the transfer portal and join Kim Mulkey’s LSU Tigers. This was indeed a pivotal decision for Fulwiley to make, as she would be starting as a standout player for coach Mulkey in the college hoops season this year.
But besides making bold moves for her career, Fulwiley is also kindling a blossoming relationship with her girlfriend, JaMessia Ford. Ford recently posted a selfie on her Instagram page, with the caption “give me all of your attention.💋”

Sure enough, it did grab MiLaysia’s attention right away. While many fans and followers were hyping Ford up, Fulwiley’s three-word reply stood out to show how much she was fawning over this picture.
“wow just beautiful 🥹🤩🤩🤩🤩🥰,” Fulwiley said.
MiLaysia Fulwiley and JaMessia Ford’s relationship started blossoming in 2023 fall, when the two met during a joint event held by the women’s basketball and track & field teams at the University of South Carolina. Ford herself is a track and field athlete and is a Pan American U20 gold medalist, NCAA champion, and two-time NCAA Indoor champion.
In April 2024, MiLaysia Fulwiley posted images of herself with Ford on Instagram for the first time. That was the hard launch fans needed to know about their relationship, and they have been going strong since then.

MiLaysia Fulwiley and JaMessia Ford have sort of become an athletic power couple in the college hoops sphere. Fans continue to look forward to their activities as one would for any power couple. And fairly so, this athletic power couple has also got each other’s backs, nevertheless.
In an interview with AS USA earlier this year, Fulwiley talked about her relationship in detail. One of the main reasons they formed a quick bond together was based on finding a common ground with their shared experiences. Speaking on how they have emerged as a power couple, Fulwiley said:
“For people to support us individually and as a couple, that just shows us that we’re a power couple but also power individuals, We both put our sports first and relationship second. But it’s all working out.”
Besides hyping Ford on Instagram posts, Fulwiley makes sure to do the same for her track and field events, too. She often attends Ford’s track meets to support her, and Ford does likewise. Though they might now be in different universities, it’s quite noteworthy how they are willing to maintain their strong bond.
