PICS: Kim Mulkey’s Ex-LSU Star Poses in Red Bikini With White Coverup in Latest Beach Snap

Kim Mulkey’s former LSU standout, Last-Tear Poa, is turning heads once again, but this time, off the court. Known for her standout performances at LSU, Poa has transitioned from dominating the hardwood to making waves on social media.

Her recent Instagram story highlights a different side of her life, where she’s much more relaxed. The star athlete often posts her pictures from vacations or doing day-to-day activities to keep her fans updated.

Poa recently shared a beach photo on Instagram, showing herself in a red bikini, posing next to a tree. Keeping up with the beach theme, she used Ahna Mac’s song ‘Waves’ on her Instagram story.

In April this year, Poa announced that she’d transfer to the Arizona State Sun Devils. On an episode of the ‘It’s A Cole World’ podcast in July, Poa revealed why she decided to change programs and join the Sun Devils.

“Honestly, it was really coach Molly,” Poa said (1:27). “I’m always the type to follow the coach. I don’t really care about programs, and I think just like understanding the college system over here, it’s more than just a program, you know.”

Molly Miller, who coached the Grand Canyon Antelopes from 2020 to 2025, was recently appointed as the head coach of the Arizona team. Poa said Coach Miller’s joining the program influenced her decision to join the Sun Devils.

Poa was constantly in touch with the coach before she made the decision official. Among many other things, Coach Miller’s energy is what attracts her the most, and she believes her style of coaching is best suited for her.

    Ex-LSU Last-Tear Poa’s Lawsuit Against USCIS

While Poa is busy settling into a new environment, she is also dealing with a legal battle involving the USCIS. Poa filed the first-of-its-kind lawsuit in 2024, challenging the government for blocking her from obtaining the visa, typically used by athletes.

Poa, an Australian, filed the lawsuit after she was denied a P-1A visa. During a conversation with Flau’Jae Johnson on the ‘Best of Both Worlds’ podcast, she said:

“I did it because, like my platform, it’s not easy to get it (the NIL deals as an international player). I think it’ll be a great opportunity for people behind me that’s coming up to earn the money they worked hard for.”

As per ESPN, the judge ruled against the government last week.

“It’s a critically important issue because it’s a real question as to whether or not students will be violating their status if they’re competing in the NCAA and getting paid,” Poa’s lawyer, Amy Maldonado, said.

One of the biggest perks of playing college sports in America is the money that athletes can make. Even though going against USCIS was a bold move, Poa took that call, and it turned out to be a great decision.
