USC Trojans superstar JuJu Watkins made her return to the basketball court with a three-pointer in what was a casual shoot-around before her team’s game. On Tuesday, Nov. 18, Watkins was seen in a video posted by @overtimewbb on Instagram, which they presumably got from the Trojans’ official Instagram page. Watkins was on the court ahead of her team’s game.
As she is presumed to be out for the entirety of the 2025-26 collegiate hoops season due to her recovery from a torn ACL, Watkins was seen in the video taking shots. In one candid moment, Watkins turned towards the camera and said that she was going to do a move.
“THIS JUST MADE MY DAY 🤩 @jujubballin @uscwbb,” @overtimewbb on Instagram captioned with an emoji.

Watkins, who was wearing a black Trojans hoodie, black sweatpants, and a pair of black and white running shoes, then took one dribble and drained a three-pointer, much to the delight of herself, the one recording her, and fans online. This is because Watkins appears to be recovering well from the injury, as just eight months after her injury, she can already make stationary jump shots.
As they celebrate Watkins’ shot, coach Lindsay Gottlieb‘s 2025-26 Trojans focus on their current campaign even without the services of their star. They are preparing for their game against the Portland Pilots on the same day the video was posted on their home court, the Galen Center in Los Angeles, California. The Trojans are looking to improve their 2-1 overall record so far.
