“Bro Escaped From His Mom’s Grip”: Jayden Daniels’ Appearance At Juju Watkins’ Birthday Party Sparks Hilarious Reactions From Fans

USC Trojan star JuJu Watkins turned 20 on Tuesday, and she had a special guest attending her birthday. Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels was spotted at the birthday party of the college basketball star alongside his mother, Regina.

Photos and videos from the party have since been doing the rounds on the internet. In the video, Watkins seems to be enjoying the company of Daniels, who was there with friends and family.

    Here’s the video:

Fans on the internet sparked a range of comments, speculating about a possible romance between the two athletes, and some even brought Daniels’ mother into the conversation.

“Bro escaped from his moms grip, she prolly made him wear a wire 🤣🤣🤣” one fan wrote.

“Surprised Ma Dukes wasn’t there,” another fan wrote.

One fan claimed they were cousins:

This became a new part of the conversation among fans, as some bashed those who called that the two were dating.

“Y’all keep making this the content, and they’re cousins lol,” one fan wrote.

One fan predicted that had the two become parents, their child would be a superstar athlete.

“Their kids would be superstar athletes,” the fan said.

“Jayden Momma was there and she let it happen !!! They baby finna be the greatest athlete ever,” one fan added.

Are Jayden Daniels and JuJu Watkins Cousins?

No, there isn’t credible enough evidence that the two are cousins. They attended different schools and do not share family ties. As for the dating rumors, Daniels’ appearance at the event was more friendly than anything romantic.

Both Daniels and Watkins are busy in their professional lives. While Watkins is coming off her third season with the Trojans, Daniels is coming off her rookie NFL season, where he won the Offensive Rookie of the Year.

Watkins suffered a torn ACL in March, requiring roughly a 12-month rehab period that will sideline her for the 2025–26 college season. After recovery, she’s on track to resume her standout USC career. Due to league rules, she won’t be draft-eligible until 2027 (must graduate or turn 22). Scouts already project her as a top-3 pick in 2027.

Meanwhile, Daniels enters his second NFL season with high expectations. ESPN ranks him as the 5th-best QB entering 2025. Offseason additions like Deebo Samuel and Laremy Tunsil will help Daniels take Washington to a deep playoff run. Rookies report on July 18, veterans follow later that week for the Commanders.

In the meantime, Daniels will be making the most use of the offseason.
